The program "Eclipse for everyone: Leisure" will bring children and young people who participate in leisure spaces closer to various knowledge and dissemination activities on the occasion of the total solar eclipse on August 12th

The website eclipsicatalunya.cat already lists more than a hundred scientific, cultural and educational activities organized throughout the territory. The atlas of activities allows the visualization and visibility of initiatives promoted by institutions, entities and astronomical groups throughout Catalonia. The Department complements this initiative with a dissemination campaign on social networks about the observation points, the scheduled activities and the safe observation measures.

The training day 'Eclipses. The eclipse in the classroom' aims to promote STEM vocations, create female role models and guarantee safe observation of the astronomical phenomenon that will take place on August 12, 2026

Coinciding with the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the activity is organized by the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation (FCRI) and the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST), with the collaboration of the Departments of Research and Universities and of Education and Professional Training.
