Aster, Agrupació Astronòmica de Barcelona

March 25, 2026  I  18h30m

On August 12, 2026, we will be able to enjoy one of Nature's most wonderful spectacles: a total solar eclipse. The last one seen in Catalonia was in 1905 In this talk we will present our experience in observing a good number of solar eclipses. We will talk about planning, observing safely, capturing photographic and video images and obtaining other data. We will delve into planning for its observation and different observational and photographic techniques to see and capture images of the different phases and most outstanding moments that we can observe of this astronomical phenomenon such as the partiality, the diamond ring, Baily's pearls and the Corona. In short, we will talk about how to enjoy it and get the most out of it. Conference by Josep Ramon Noy and Josep Masalles
