A whole day dedicated to astronomy, with the solar eclipse as the culminating moment

At the Castelltallat Astronomical Observatory, we have prepared a series of activities to accompany this unforgettable day! First, the morning activity “Daytime Astronomy”. Guided by our smart telescope and in broad daylight, we will observe the planet Jupiter, a red giant star, or Venus. Late in the afternoon, the great spectacle of the solar eclipse, which at Castelltallat will be 99.6% hidden behind the Moon. Along with your entry, you will receive certified eclipse glasses. Finally, after nightfall, the conditions for observing the Perseid meteor shower will be unbeatable! All of this includes introductory talks, telescopic observations, workshops, open areas for naked-eye observation, bar and restaurant service. And all set in a beautiful natural and rural environment.
